Eventually Geralt seeks out Yennefer. Even with their last conversation and an uncertain future hanging between them, it only makes sense to find her. She's the only one here who knows him and Jaskier—knows them the right way, beyond passing in the halls of the hotel or suffering through Hell's tribulations together.

She's one of the few people whose opinion he actually values.

So despite the fact he's sure she's going to laugh in his face, he finds himself knocking at her door. He can hear that she's in, but he'll pretend he doesn't know to be polite.
